This is my Remington M1100 Magnum shotgun. I t is chambered for 12 GA. 3in and has a 32in full choke bbl. I've used this on countless turkey hunts. Mostly I use a heavy magnum load of 6 shot. I've had good results with a fast light load weight of 1 5/8 oz #6 with a Win. red wad and a heavy charge of Blue dot, also.

The shotgun on the left is a double bbl 12 GA. 2 3/4 in. built by Boito in Brazil. It is an inexpensive shotgun but both bbls are full choke and one is so tight that it's almost as tight as an Xfull. This shotgun is short and handles quick. I installed double beads on the rib and gave it a camo paint job. It does a great job with 2 3/4 in. mag. 1 5/8 oz. #6 shot loads. It seems to like factory Winchester loads. The one in the center is a Mossberg M500 12ga 3 inch Mag. fitted with a BSA vari scope. I painted the stock flat black and I use a Carlson's Ported Turkey Tube. Man does this shotgun pattern tight! The one on the right is a left handed Remington model 11-87 chambered for 12 ga. 3" Mag! I have a turkey X Full choke tube and it works great! |
