I understand the August hunt had a fairly low success rate - below 75% I believe.
If you've not done a WSMR hunt, there should be a bunch of butchers and taxidermists at the gate as you leave. Just turn over your carcass to them. They even have coolers on site.
MAKE SURE you gut and skin your kill ASAP!! With 90' weather, it won't last very long!!!

We huunted the Aug hunt and did not get one. Too many people and the critters were really spooked. The storm didn't help much either.

I got drawn for this coming Aug Broken Horn hunt in Rhodes Canyon. We hunted the Dec hunt and there were as many broken horns as there were typical. During the Aug hunt on Stallion we didn't see any broken horns.

The top part of the Rohdes Canyon hunt area (Red Canyon) was off limits this year. They didn't say why but a buddy got drawn for the small missile range and they moved that hunt to red canyon due to the lack of animals on the small missile range. They screwed us out of a third of the area we normally get to hunt. This really sucked because we are two for two in the red canyon area and had planned to hunt it again this hunt. I did get a nice big bull (broken horn tag) about 100 yards south of the red canyon boundry though. In all we didn't see half the number of animals we did back in the Dec hunt. We only saw one broken horn animal total this hunt as opposed to about 50/50 in Dec. Oh well, as usual it was a fun time guess we should be happy just to have the oppertunity to hunt these fine animals over there.
